Cathedral of St. Anastasia

The Cathedral of St. Anastasia is the largest and the famous church and holds great historical importance in Biograd na Moru and in the whole of south of Dalmatia. This Romanesque church was built in the 12th century and is very significant to Christians.

It has been destroyed or broken many times, but it still has not loosened its power and historical importance.

Homeland Museum

The homeland museum is present in the city of Biograd na Moru. It is associated with the traditional importance of the city's culture and customs and it is an independent and single institution in the area of Biograd.

It holds and preserves the historical events that took place in the city’s past, and it is a true piece of art and culture that is enjoyed by visitors from all around the world. It came into existence on the plains of medieval walls. It was built in the 18th or 19th centuries and was ruled or governed by king Francis Joseph I in 1876.

Island Pašman

Pasman island is located across the town of Biograd na Moru. This island is also known for the biggest green surfaces in Croatia. This island consists of many remains of Roman architecture. This island is home to many fishermen and made its living through fishing and the production of olive oil.

The island holds a lot of secrets and one of it is an island in the shape of heart. This small island is called Galešnjak and it is one of the three islands in the whole world that has this particular shape that never changes. In the Pašman canal the currents are strong which makes this part of the Adriatic Sea clean and clear.

The beaches of the island are sandy, full of hidden coves, old stone houses and astonishing beauty.

Island Ugljan

This island is in front of the city of Zadar and it is excitedly beautiful and lush. It is covered with green and breathtaking Mediterranean vegetation because of which it got its name as the green island. Island has always had a strong connection with the sea through long tradition in fishing and more than 2000 year old tradition of growing olive trees.

Mostir beach is the most famous beach because of the sand that makes it very popular with families with children.

Dugi Island

Dugi otok is an island of distinctiveness and contrast and the largest island in the group of northern Dalmatian islands, with the highest peak Vela Straža. The coast of Dugi otok towards the part located in the Telašćica Nature Park is steep and has a lot of cliffs, but on the southeast side of the island there are quiet bays and sandy beach Sakarun. This is an ideal place for swimming and enjoying the beauty of the clear sea and nature.

Kornati Islands

Kornati Islands consists of more than 89 islands, islets and reefs and are famously known for the crystal clear and deep blue sea. The sailing among them looks and feels like skiing. During the nice weather the view of the archipelago is impressive silent blue and gray color.

Over the years the islands have been safe harbours for many sailors whenever they find themselves on the sea during the storm.

During the years, the islands were used for cultivating sheep since they were a private property of inhabitants of Murter.
